Brooke McMillan - "Being is always becoming"
Originally From: Fort McMurray, AB
Brooke began practicing yoga 14 years ago as a young dancer growing up in Fort McMurray, initially falling love with yoga as a form of expression through movement. As she continued to practice throughout her university years, she discovered yoga is so much more than a physical discipline - it provides a foundation for personal growth, greater compassion, and intentional living.
Brooke became a 200hr yoga teacher in 2014 through the In Balance and completed her 500hr Yoga Certification in 2015. In 2017, Brooke completed her Yoga For All Teacher training specializing in yoga for larger bodies and diverse communities. Brooke is a passionate advocate for diversity and body positivity within the yoga community and media. She teaches classes that are accessible and inclusive to people of all shapes, sizes, abilities, and backgrounds.
Every time you step on your mat is an opportunity to discover something about yourself, and Brooke’s classes focus on creating space for self-care through joyful, intuitive movement. In addition to yoga, Brooke's other love is food! When she’s not teaching yoga, she's teaching cooking, nutrition and food studies to grade 7-12 students or creating in her own kitchen.
