New to Yoga
I'm not that FLEXIBLE, can I still do yoga?
If you can breathe, you can do Yoga! Yoga promotes flexibility. Do you have to be a formula one race car driver to drive a car? No! Yoga expands muscles while helping release toxins that build up in your body over time. Becoming more flexible is a great benefit of yoga, but the ultimate goal is to live more focused in mind, body and spirit. This gain happens regardless of whether or not you can touch your toes.
I've never taken a yoga class, what do i do?
You have come to the right place. Check out our "Class Types" page and find a "Beginner Friendly" class that you would like to attend. From there make your way down to our studio. Make sure you arrive at least 15 Minutes early for class. We are going to need time to sign waivers and take payment. Once you're in the studio make sure to let your instructor know you're new. Be sure to check out our “Studio Etiquette” section for some helpful information to prepare you for class.
I Don't do well in Heat, do you offer classes with no heat?
Absolutely, our studio has both a Hot Temperature Yoga studio and a Room Temperature Yoga studio. In our class schedule look for classes with no "Warm" or "Hot" in the title of the class name. Yin and Restorative classes are great places to start.
Do I need a yoga mat?
Yes, bring one from home. If you don't have one you can rent one from us for $2 or purchase one.
What should i wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you can easily move and stretch in. yoga leggings, Shorts, Tank top or Tee shirt will work great. If you're attending one of our HOT classes be sure to wear shorts and bring a towel.
When should i arrive?
Arrive at LEAST 15 Min prior to class starting. We are going to need time for you to fill out a waiver, take payment, then show you around.
Arriving late & Leaving early
If you're running late, please call the studio to hold your spot in class. To preserve the experience and respect the teachers' class structure, we do not allow anyone to enter a class once the class has started. If you must leave early, please let the instructor know ahead of time.
are there any age restrictions for classes?
No: if you're 15 years of age or younger we will need a parent/legal guardian to sign a waiver on the participants behalf.
Can I signup for and attend two classes in a row?
Yes, we ask that your class end and start times be at least 15min apart, so we are not disturbing the class. We also recommend caution with taking back to back HOT classes and maybe balance your schedule with a HOT class then a Warm/Room Temperature class. Please note that while taking two classes in a row you will need to see the front desk again to receive a second button prior to class starting.
can i take a class if i'm pregnant?
Yes, we do recommend talking with your physician before participating in classes. Please let you're instructor know prior to class starting that you're currently pregnant!
We do NOT recommend participating in HOT classes if you're currently pregnant.
Look for our specific "Prenatal Yoga" classes on the schedule for the best Yoga experience.
Do you have locker rooms?
